I am delighted to let everyone know the details of this years Impact the Nation Conference.  As you can see we're branding all the prayer and action projects under the 1020 vision.  Our brand new web site is also open to all so please check it out.

The 1020 Vision including the National Prayer Strategy and the National Connect Strategy is 10 years of prayer and action. Our vision is to pray for and connect with every person, in every place, for every issue at every moment of the day.

This vision will serve the Church in its efforts to pray for and connect with its local community and will be delivered in two five year plans, running between 2010 and 2020.

We can only do this together; Teamwork for prayer and action is the theme of your Impact the Nation Conference in 2009. We will build on the first three Conferences, as there has been a great desire to pray and work together. What a great way to fulfil Jesus' new commandment in John 13 v 34 to 'Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.'

Most of you will already recognise how vital prayer is to achieve the 'Great Commission' in Matthew 28:19-20. This conference will help us all take some massive steps in working out how to pray towards this goal by seeking to ensure that we greatly develop ways to pray for every person, in every place, for every issue and at every moment of the day. No one organisation can do this on their own, but together we can.

The theme was chosen to highlight the fact that we can only achieve the BIG goals in life when we work together. I am pleased to announce this year that we are launching the 1020 Vision, ten years of prayer and outreach between 2010 and 2020. Starting in January, this vision will link together our efforts for the Kingdom within the UK and display tangible results from our efforts whilst always working with the emphasis of engaging and encouraging prayer and outreach in, and through, the local church. So fasten your seat belts, it's time for a big push.

There is much more coming but we are seeking to involve as many Churches, Organisations and Individuals as possible in formulating how we are to accomplish this mammoth task. Your ideas and input would be greatly appreciated at the Conference. If you can't make the Conference but wish to input to the vision please contact us.
